Informazioni generali - General information
Il polo culturale di Villa Hűssy si estende su tre piani oltre al deposito sotterraneo per una superficie complessiva pari a 690 mq.
La biblioteca civica, che occupa il piano terra (reception, ufficio, sale lettura e sala ragazzi) e il 1° piano (sale lettura, emeroteca e saletta conferenze) dispone complessivamente di circa 70 posti per la lettura/consultazione/studio.
L’intero patrimonio librario è ordinato a scaffale aperto; la ricerca dei testi è agevolata dalle indicazioni e dalla segnaletica presente nelle diverse sale oltre che, ovviamente, dalle informazioni fornite dal personale della biblioteca.
Per rendervi più familiare la biblioteca, alla voce ambienti forniamo una descrizione, sia pur molto sintetica, degli spazi e delle sezioni in cui essa si articola.
The library extends on a surface of 690 m² inside a villa of the 19th century, Villa Hűssy, with three floors and an underground storeroom.
There are about 70 places for reading/consultation/study inside the civic library on ground floor (reception, office, reading rooms and children area) and on the first floor (reading rooms, newspaper and periodical library room, and conference room).
Books are placed on shelves available to any interested reader; signs and indications in the different rooms help the research, together with the information given by the library personnel.

I volumi, al massimo 3, vengono concessi in prestito per un massimo di 30 gg con possibilità di proroga, nel caso non vi siano richieste da parte di altri utenti. Si precisa che i volumi non presenti presso la biblioteca di Luino possono essere richiesti ad altre biblioteche (nazionali ed internazionali) attraverso il servizio di interprestito bibliotecario; l’utente verrà avvisato quando i testi richiesti saranno disponibili nella biblioteca di Luino;
- n. 3 postazioni Internet: è possibile navigare in Internet, stampare, salvare documenti.

In order to borrow books, you need to register or be registered in one of the libraries of the Province of Varese. You can borrow a maximum of 10 books for 30 days, but you can extend the date of expiry in case there aren't any other requests by subscribers. In case the books you are interested in are not stored in the library of Luino, they can be borrowed from other (national and international) libraries through the librarian net. You will be given notice when the books are available in the Library of Luino;
- 2 internet points: you can surf the Internet, print and save documents.
